COVID-19 - Information and Guidelines
The official guidelines regarding COVID-19 are being updated daily. You can view the latest HM Government and NHS advice here:
You can also contact the Department for Education Coronavirus Helpline for answers about COVID-19
related to education. Staff, parents and young people can contact the helpline as follows:
- By phone: 0800 046 8687 (please call 111 if you think you or your child might have symptoms of
COVID-19, or have travelled to affected countries)
- By email: firstname.lastname@example.org
The helpline is open from 8am until 6pm Monday to Friday.
Please note that school staff are not medically qualified and are not therefore in a position to give advice on the decisions facing individual families. We strongly encourage parents to see their own medical advice if needed.
Vyners School will send all parents and staff an email when we have an update regarding the school and COVID-19. The latest update is available to view at the bottom of the page.
What to do if your child tests positive
If a student test positive, having developed symptoms within 2 days of being in school, you are asked to report it to us, as your child may have been infectious whilst in school. If you need to report a positive coronavirus test result, please email Mrs Bashford-Hynes email@example.com and Mrs Foster firstname.lastname@example.org. Please ensure that you provide details of when the test was taken and, in the case of symptomatic individuals, when the symptoms first arose. A single email addressed to both members of staff will suffice.
